All-inclusive natural water park built around snorkeling and a river-fed inlet.
Last updated June 10, 2026Spot something off? →
Description
Set where a freshwater river meets the Caribbean in the Tulum municipality. The signature experience is snorkeling the inlet and floating the river that empties into it. Add a Scenic Lighthouse with a waterslide and 360° views, the Cliff of Courage jump, a zip line that ends in the water, a floating bridge, jungle bike paths, cenotes, and a kids' area. Calmer and more "chill" than Xplor. Admission includes meals, drinks, and snorkel gear.

It's the farthest park (about an hour away, near Tulum), so treat it as a full day-trip rather than a half-day add-on.

Float the river one-way early, before it gets busy, then snorkel the inlet.

It's the relaxed, low-adrenaline option: hammocks, easy snorkeling, slow pace. Some frequent visitors note the river and snorkel experience overlaps with Xcaret, so if you're short on days it's the one to skip; if you want a chill day, it's ideal.

Reef-safe sunscreen only. The parks enforce biodegradable sunscreen (titanium dioxide or zinc oxide only); regular sunscreen is not allowed and you may be asked to rinse it off. Buy it before you arrive, since park shops mark it up.

Water shoes are the single most useful thing to pack. They are required for some Xplor activities and useful everywhere; sandals slip off on zip-lines and in rivers.

Pack light, because lockers are small. Lockers are free at Xenses and included with Xcaret Plus; otherwise expect a fee.

Protect your phone. Bring a waterproof case on a neck strap or a GoPro, since many activities need both hands.

Photo passes are pricey but capture shots you can't get yourself. They're most worth it at night at Xplor Fuego, where personal cameras struggle.
