A guide to getting married at Hotel Xcaret Mexico
By Shadia·Updated
Package cost, venue information and important rules to help you budget, all in one place.

We planned this wedding. We just never had it.
We were going to get married at Hotel Xcaret Mexico in 2020. COVID ended that. We did not get a refund; we got a credit with an expiration date, and COVID kept us from using that too.
This past June we finally went back. One afternoon we walked past the water and saw a crew setting up chairs for somebody else's ceremony in Caleta Fuego, the exact cove we had picked. Standing there, what came back first was not the disappointment. It was how hard the planning had been.
We never got the Xcaret wedding but we did the research. Here it is, updated and checked. We lay everything out and then guide you through the process, step-by-step.
Pricing reviewed 2026-07-25. Xcaret raises wedding pricing annually; the published 2028 sheet is about 7% above 2026.
TL;DR
- The package is not the full price. Paraíso runs about $16,750 for 30 guests. Real weddings here land closer to $36,000.
- You have to book a block of rooms. 11 most days, 20 on Fridays, 25 on Saturdays. And 80% of your guests must stay at the hotel.
- You can add guests later. You can never remove them. Start low.
- Biggest savings: give your outside vendors a room in your block for 3 nights. Their $870 to $1,500 fees go away.
- Book 12 to 18 months out. Once your date is confirmed, you have about 10 days to sign for the rooms.

Our concierge knows everything in this guide.
Once you have a date, our other guides cover the rest of the trip: which Casa to book for your room block, the best restaurants for your welcome dinner and rehearsal, which park or tour for your guests (after the wedding, not before), and how to send your wish list to the resort.
Mesa Notes is independent and not affiliated with Grupo Xcaret. Booking through our partner link pays us a commission at no cost to you, and it doesn't shape what we write.
Every price in this guide comes from a published resort, planner, or couple source, and is current as of July 2026. Resort pricing is quoted in USD; the civil registry fee is in MXN. Wedding pricing at Hotel Xcaret Mexico has risen every year we have data for, and third-party sites frequently republish stale numbers. Treat everything here as the starting point for a written quote, never a commitment.
